What we wish to do

Currently OpenBroadcaster has support to display and publish assets with Drupal 7.0 for dynamically created website content, schedules, whats playing, what played last 24 hours, etc, etc We also have a example widget code to display media assets.

Our goal with this project is to phase out support for proprietary modules for each type of CRM, instead provide some simple embedded code to paste that radio and TV stations public web site easily to be able to deploy as templates. OpenBroadcaster retains all IP (Intellectual Property) developed during this project.

Who and Skills

IT firm or educational institution with established track record of open source development with current resumes of instructors and practicum participants. You will have excellent problem solving skills and working knowledge of validation and documentation tools.

Scope

Exploit the documented API and display this on a generic front end public website.

Deliverables

An example turnkey website showing the API in a production library loaded with assets.

Google Tag Manager – Social Media Expert

OpenBroadcaster Inc. is developing a distributed Public Service Announcement network for the North. Using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and open source web technologies will allow NGO and Non-Profits to create and distribute rich media announcements through affiliated community radio stations and alternative media outlets.

As part of this work, we are implementing Google Analytics into our broadcast automation systems, including advanced functionality of GTM (Google Tag Manager) to provide media usage metrics. We are seeking an experienced individual to help use with the social media aspects of GTM. Advanced skills are required with Google products, PHP and Python programming languages. This is a contract opportunity to work with our really talented team.

Translations – OBServer and OBPlayer Infrastructure

We are looking for assistance to do some simple translation for stations:

Approx 2200 words grouped into 560 phrases

A small stipend (budget) is available and participants will be rewarded with a fully functional broadcast automation appliance based on Raspberry Pi that can be used to run your radio station, centralized media library and send out an mp3 stream for online listeners.

International Languages Translation Project

OpenBroadcaster is expanding to overseas markets and picking up a global share of the international broadcast automation business, through inquiries from our website in many different languages, specifically Asian and African cultures, including many indigenous groups. Candidates should have an existing portfolio of similar projects, experience with open source CMS and strong Google Analytics skills.

We are seeking qualified and experienced web developers to update our business website to support these international markets with a framework to include language translations.

Your work plan should devise a way that we can scale our languages, both with machine learning AI and human. The solution you propose can keep our established Drupal 7 framework, or any other industry standard CMS, providing that we do not lose any of the functionality we presently have.

The finished product, should be a new complete solution, not just some maintenance updates.

Government Relations Coordinator

The Government Relations/Lobbying Program will include meetings with politicians and their staff, but also include a whole range of other tasks that may or may not be employed including: technical submissions, working-level meetings, third party mobilization, digital outreach, and targeted media.

Just as each issue is unique, no single way of approaching government will be effective in every situation. While some firms highlight their access to politicians or the number of political meetings they can organize, these are only a subset of the full range of tactics that can be used. A successful firm will focus on securing government contracts to supply, install and train the approximate 250 FN and Inuit communities on Open Broadcaster’s Emergency Alert Player.

Seeking an experienced government relations/lobbying company with presence in Ottawa to set up meetings with both Ministers of Public Safety, Crown-Indigenous Relations Canada and Indigenous Services Canada or their political staff, and departmental officials (e.g. DM, ADM and Director General level).

Develop high impact promotional material with targeted power point and handout/briefing notes to summarize the recommendation that the federal government subsidize Indigenous language radio stations.

Job Summary

As part of the the Catering Team, you will provide quality service of high standards and contribute to the provision of our weekly luncheons promoting these events on social media with supplied community broadcast tools. Assist in preparing and presenting food for our company functions and events. This will include all hot and cold food including drinks for our weekly managers meeting plus any packed lunches, group catering and event catering from time to time. Some travel to Southern Yukon communities may be required.
