Album Art
A large American university recently sponsored development of a feature to analyze their library of 660,000 individual audio recordings to obtain an Acoustic-ID (unique digital finger print) which is submitted online to MusicBrainz music database while bringing the metadata to their local database. This workflow also supports the updating of Album Art. Enhanced graphical metadata is presented throughout the server and player interfaces, including album art thumbnails in the live assist player. This is all automated using open source software with out any fees or charges.

Thank you to all of the 17,000+ individuals who participated over 5 days, including 196 speakers from 53 countries. Fantastic initiative of UNESCO and World Health Organization. I had fun virtually attending and presenting at this event, sharing and learning about remote radio.

Tech Resource – Clonezilla
Tech request from user asking about Clonezilla. Clonezilla is FOSS (free open source software) that does partition and disk imaging/cloning program similar to True Image or Norton Ghost. It helps you to do system deployment, bare metal backup and data recovery. One of our users was amazed they had figured out how easy it was to use disk imaging. We use Clonezilla to create our firmware IMG updates and is a handy utility for backups and insurance against ransomware.
National Alert testing Canada – Nov 17
In preparation of these tests, ensure your alert boxes are receiving heartbeats and have the latest updates.
